FILM
In 2018, I began a photo series on Human-Wildlife Conflict in Africa. I was struck by how much this issue was growing, and how large of an impact it was having on endangered species and the local people who live amongst them. As my research developed, I decided that the story I was uncovering must be told as a documentary film instead. I shot One But Many in Kenya in September 2019 with a tiny crew and learned so much more than I had anticipated. The pandemic, along with the realities of making an indie documentary, challenged the post-production process but I am happy to report that the film is finally completed, and we are now seeking distribution as well as beginning to submit to film festivals. My hope is that the film will be able to bring much-needed awareness to an underreported and often underestimated crisis.
One But Many had its World Premiere in June 2025 at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood as part of the Dances With Films Festival. It went on to have its Canadian Premiere at the Whistler Film Festival in British Columbia and screened at the Anchorage International Film Festival.
In 2026, One But Many will make its UK debut with a private screening for Members of Parliament and conservation leaders at the British Parliament.
